Why does the Moon look different from my camera?
AstroZoom is a simulated space camera. It overlays bundled planetary imagery; it does not reveal additional optical detail from your iPhone lens.
Try without permissions
Choose Try without camera on the main menu, or turn on Demo sky in Camera settings. Demo sky works indoors without camera or location access.
Camera or automatic targeting does not work
Allow Camera in iOS Settings for a live viewfinder. Automatic sky targeting also needs location permission and a calibrated compass. Aim away from metal. Approximate sky positions and compass uncertainty can offset the overlay. Hold the viewfinder to stage a lock manually.
Zoom and stabilization
Pinch or drag the zoom dial. Right/up increases zoom and left/down reduces it. Small physical movements have a larger effect at high zoom; enable Stabilization to smooth small tremor.
Save or share a shot
Tap the shutter, open the thumbnail, then choose Save to Photos or Share. Allow add-only Photos permission to save. All exports include a simulation label.
Analytics choices
Share usage analytics is optional and off by default. Change it in Camera settings. Camera frames, photos and precise location stay on your iPhone.
