Cube Solver privacy policy

Cube Solver uses your camera to read cube sticker colors. In the current build, camera frames are processed on your iPhone. They are not uploaded to our servers or saved as photos by the app.

Information the app uses

When you start the camera, Cube Solver asks iOS for camera access. It samples color values from the live video feed to estimate sticker colors. The scanned colors, cube state, and solution stay in app memory while you use them. If you enter or correct colors manually, those values are handled the same way.

Cube Solver stores device-local settings, your selected cube, and the date of your last successful free guide. That date is used to make another free guide available after seven days. The current build has no app account, advertisements, analytics SDK, or cloud sync. It does not send camera frames or cube states to us.

Optional purchases

If you choose an optional subscription when it becomes available, Apple's App Store processes the purchase and provides the app with entitlement status. We do not receive your payment card details from the app. The price, billing interval, and any eligible trial are shown before you confirm a purchase.

External links and the website

The Learn screen includes optional links to outside educational sources. Opening one leaves the app and is subject to that destination's privacy practices. If you visit this website or email support, the website privacy policy applies to that interaction.

Retention and deletion

Session cube data is not intentionally saved by the app. Local preferences and the free-guide date remain on your device until you change them or remove the app. You can turn off camera access in iOS Settings. Removing the app clears its local data, subject to iOS device backup behavior. We do not have a server-side account or cube scan to delete.

Children and changes

The current app does not knowingly collect personal information from children. If future versions add network services or data collection, this policy will be updated to describe the new behavior before those changes are released.
