Barebones Tuner terms of use
Effective September 21, 2026 · Applies to the Barebones Tuner iPhone and iPad app
Barebones Tuner is an instrument-tuning tool. It listens to one note at a time, estimates pitch, and shows whether the note is flat, sharp, or in tune.
Using the app
You may use the app for personal, lawful purposes. Microphone access is required for live pitch detection. Results can be affected by background noise, distance, the strength or stability of the note, the device microphone, and the selected reference pitch. Check the instrument by ear or with another trusted reference when accuracy is critical.
Supported use
The app includes automatic chromatic detection and open-string presets for guitar, five-string bass, ukulele, and violin. A4 can be set from 430 to 450 Hz. Play one note at a time. The app is not a chord detector, recording tool, or substitute for repair by a qualified instrument technician.
Price and availability
Version 1 is free and contains no advertisements, account requirement, subscription, or in-app purchase. This describes the current version, not a promise that every future version will use the same business model. Availability and features may change.
Intellectual property
The app's original code, design, text, and artwork belong to Endless Apps or the applicable rights holder. You may not copy, reverse engineer, redistribute, or misrepresent them except where applicable law permits.
Disclaimer and responsibility
To the extent permitted by law, the app is provided as available without a guarantee of uninterrupted operation or a particular tuning result. Nothing in these terms removes consumer rights that cannot legally be excluded. Use reasonable care when adjusting strings and instruments.
Contact and App Store
For support or questions, email endlessaitools@gmail.com. View Barebones Tuner on the App Store. We may update these terms when the app changes; the effective date will change after a material update.
